Kindle Scribe daily delivery: a setup guide

What "daily delivery" means here

A single PDF — your choice of news, a puzzle, a study page, a home summary — built fresh and emailed to your Kindle Scribe every morning at a time you set. You read it with the pen, and for some sections you can write your answers on the page, mail it back, and have it marked.

Step 1 — find your Send-to-Kindle address

On a computer, open Amazon Content & Devices → Preferences → Personal Document Settings. Each Kindle you own has its own name@kindle.com address listed there. Note the one for your Scribe.

Step 2 — approve the sender

On the same page, under Approved Personal Document E-mail List, add the address your editions will come from. For Daily Scribe that is my@dailyscribe.ca. This is the step people miss: Amazon silently discards documents from any address not on this list, with no error message.

You only ever add this one address, and it is the same for every Daily Scribe section.

Step 3 — choose your sections and time

In the Daily Scribe dashboard, turn on the sections you want, set your delivery time and time zone, and — for sections that need it, such as a Home Assistant summary — add any credentials. Those are encrypted at rest and used only to build your own edition.

Step 4 — get your first edition

Your next edition arrives at the time you chose. It shows up in your Scribe library like any personal document, synced to your other Kindles too. Open it, read it, write on it.

The return path

Sections such as Kanji practice carry a hidden reference in the PDF. Write your answers, use the Scribe's email share to send the page back to my@dailyscribe.ca, and Daily Scribe reads your handwriting, marks it, and keeps your progress. Nothing to install on the device.

If an edition doesn't arrive

  • Re-check the approved-sender list for a typo.
  • Look under your Kindle's Docs filter, not just Books.
  • Very large attachments can be rejected — keep image-heavy sections modest.
